About Us

The Society for the Advancement of Torah Sheb’al Peh was founded in May 1998 by Rabbi Dr. Pinchas Hayman.

The Society has promoted a variety of activities to assist in the study and research of Torah Sheb’al Peh (Jewish Oral Tradition), ranging from scholarships for needy students to assist in acquisition of learning materials for use in schools, operation of after-school activities for study of Mishnah, production of research materials to enrich study of Torah Sheb’al Peh, and much more.

At the present time, the Society is engaged in three major programs:

1. Development of a home-site for websites of Yeshivot and Mechinot to promote distribution of Torah Sheb’al Peh materials and lessons.

2. Development of an interactive Bet Midrash for Talmud based on textual methodologies based on the sources to assist learners in development of independent study capability.

3. Development of I-Kodesh Digital Day School, presented on this site.
